Alstom Metropolis, Sydney Metro 悉尼地鐵西北綫 - Tallawong to Rouse Hill

Alstom Metropolis, Sydney Metro 悉尼地鐵西北綫 - Tallawong to Rouse Hill Sydney Metro is the first driverless metro system to be launched in Australia on 26 May 2019. MTR (Hong Kong, China SAR) is the operator, having the previous experience of operating a very similar-spec South Island Line. Those who have ever rode in Hong Kong will quickly have a MTR vibe - the passenger displays, door opening chime (inherited from KCR) and door closing chime are identical.

The line runs from Chatswood to Epping (previously operated by CityRail/Sydney Trains) and continues to Castle Hill and then Tallawong. Alstom Metropolis trains built in India operate on this line, similar to the ones found in Singapore's North-East MRT Line and Circle MRT Line (including the SATEE Optonix traction control found on these two MRT Lines and MTR's South Island Line).

Everyone else has covered the cab view timelapse or full journey, so this time the interior ride is featured in place. Due to service disruptions later on during launch day, it became very difficult to film the return trip.
