Students at Olentangy Hyatts middle accused of giving teachers food containing bodily fluids

Students at Olentangy Hyatts middle accused of giving teachers food containing bodily fluids DELAWARE COUNTY, OH (WCMH) -- The Delaware County Sheriff's Office says several Olentangy Hyatts Middle School students are under investigation for their involvement in allegedly serving a handful of teachers food that contained bodily fluids.

A sheriff’s spokesperson says the incident happened Thursday during a home economics class while the students were preparing crepes.

Investigators say shortly after that a school staff member tipped off the school resource officer about what had happened.

Delaware county investigators say DNA testing on the uneaten food is underway, but they believe a student tainted the crepes with urine and semen.

The sheriff’s spokesperson says a few teachers digested the contaminated food.

No names have been released and no charges have been filed while the investigation continues.

A spokesperson with Olentangy Schools released the following statement in regards to the incident:

The safety and security of our students and staff is of utmost importance. District leadership and local law enforcement are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident, and anyone found in violation of school policies will be held accountable for their actions. We are also focusing our efforts to support the teachers impacted by this incident.
