Under the overall supervision of the Returning Officer 4-Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency and District Election Officer (DEO) Leh Avny Lavasa and District Election Officer (DEO) Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary in view of the counting of votes in respect of 49-Kargil and 50-Zanskar Assembly segments of the 4-Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency, a training programme for Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Micro Observers on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) counting was held at Conference Hall Baroo, Kargil here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Sonam Chosjor, Deputy District Election Officer Kargil Nargis Banoo, AROs, other concerned officers besides the Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Micro Observers attended the training programme.
The training was imparted by the Nodal Officer Manpower and Training Leh Dr Stanzin Rabgyas and Dr. Tundup Namgyal besides District Level Master Trainer (DLMT), Kargil Haji Muhammad Hadi.
The programme was conducted as per the guidelines of the ECI to train election officials to ensure smooth conduct of the counting process to be held on 23rd of May, 2019.
