Rant on bad teacher theory:
Teachers "use" critical theory and there is a lot of it being disseminated badly because teachers inherit views from their ed programs without engaging with primary texts.
When teaching: teach your comprehensive thread of thought. If you are planning outcomes and those are supposed to be implicitly evident to the student--- THEY WILL NOT LEARN IT. Teachers often plan things that NO ONE SEES--- because they can't see it, aren't shown it, and because teachers don't make their rationales for things evident. (Lastly-- teachers often choose BAD rationales for teaching certain ways --- learning styles/MI etc. instead of teaching content in its peculiarly best way to be taught and THEN introducing adjustments for individuals).
People are NOT GOOD at picking up implicit knowledges. You have to show them directly where to look--- the whole field of experience has to be reduced down to a manageable portion for them to learn lenses for looking and for cognitive load to be managed.

2:34 Ideology--- Not precisely how Marx or Habermas talks about it.
I'm hoping to excavate what ideology is--- our emotions can reveal implicit beliefs we didn't see until the situation makes it possible to see them. Those implicit beliefs could constitute something LIKE ideology as we inhabit it in society.
4:16 Really bad slow paced elementary examples--- I could NOT get my head to cooperate. I had a LOT of threads going and the wires crossed. So the examples were not good and I should plan things before I make them.
A simple example might give way to more chains of causation:
5:58 Social ties, biological wiring, kin protection, reciprocation, etc. etc.
I cannot believe how my train of thought totally collapsed during the sixth minute. It's really horrible.
7:00- Important distinction here: Situations CAN make us reflect on the sources of emotions, but we don't always follow through on that.
7:30 Why this example? Ideology is something not revealed until a certain kind of looking takes place.
