DDC Kishtwar holds outreach cum public grievance redressal camp at Drabshalla KISHTWAR, May 31: With an aim to take stock of ground situation of far-off areas and to redress the grievances of people at their door step, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana hold a public grievance redressal camp at Tehsil Drabshalla in District Kishtwar.
He was accompanied by Functional Manager DIC Kishtwar, Dr. Mohsin Raza, DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Qazi, ALC Kishtwar, Anoop Kumar Sharma, CAHO Kishtwar CAO, DFO, XENs, Dy.SP Hq. Tehsildar Drabshalla , BDO Drabshalla, Dy.CMO besides concerned officers remained present.
During the camp, Sarpanches, Panches, senior citizens and scores of people of area including women participated.
The public of the area apprised DDC about several grievances/ problems faced by them and urged immediate redressal of the long pending grievances and their demands including release of compensation of land acquired for roads, buildings, proper functioning of health centre, veterinary centres, anganwari centres, installation of iron electric poles instead of wooden poles, electricity issue in far off villages like Tatani, Patti and Hammer, establishment of play grounds in schools, shortage of staff in schools and health institutions, ration issues in Shandri, repair and renovation of foot suspension bridges, pending MGNREGA payment 2016-17 2017-18 besides lack of transport and communication.
DDC gave a patient hearing with regard to genuine demands of the public wherein on spot directions was passed to concerned officers for early redressal of the public issues.
DDC directed ZEO Drabshalla to ensure that proper desks and other facilities be put in place at High School Drabshalla immediately.
Transport Department Kishtwar was directed to start SRTC bus service which was previously stopped on account of some issues raised by the public enroute Drabshalla Bugrana road as the issue has now been amicably settled.
Responding to the demand raised by the local that the work going on Chalasoo-Tatani road is not satisfactory , DDC directed Tehsildar Drabhsalla to submit the factual report regarding the quality of work along with the photographs within week's time positively.
Police department was asked to ensure the shifting of Police post from existing river bed side to main market Drabshalla.
Local Sarpanch alleged that an FIR has been registered over the issue of bungling of pipes of PHE department by the contractors but till date no action has been taken by the police authorities, DDC directed concerned SHO to expedite the investigation process and book the culprits under law.
NHIDCL authorities were directed to take necessary steps for clearing the slips, pot holes along road side from Thathri to Kishtwar stretch.
DDC emphasised upon Animal husbandry and Agriculture Officer to conduct regular awareness camps so that common masses know about he various schemes and technical know how of the department.
Directions were passed to PHE and PDD department to redress the issue of water and electricity problems as apprised by the public, on priority basis as govt is committed while ensuring 100% coverage.
DFO was directed to ensure the repair and renovation of foot suspension bridges which are in dilapidated condition as apprised by locals.
He further warned all the officers/officials to remain punctual in their respective place of posting and mitigate the sufferings of poor and rural masses any laxity in this part shall be dealt strictly.
DDC informed the general public that recently 10% reservation quota system for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in civil posts and services in the government of India and admission in educational institutions has been introduced by GoI wherein DDC asked the eligible beneficiaries to avail the benefits of EWS certificates.
He asked Tehsildar concerned to hold awareness along with on spot delivery of EWSs certificate camps at different places for the general convinence of poor masses.
He further called upon the general public to maintain peace , tranquility and brotherhood and co- operate with district administration in development works /activities with participatory and Pro active approach.
