There’s nothing more frustrating than a client accusing you of producing crap leads 😢.

It’s not just about the money. There’s an unspoken trust there. When you don’t deliver, the trust is gone. It leaves a really nasty taste in the mouth, and I can’t help but think about the convo over and over. 💭💭 I spend a lot of my time thinking about how I can help the CLIENT, not how the client can help ME, so everything feels like a double failure 😟.

But, sometimes, it’s not a fault with the leads. Sometimes, you just have to dig a little bit deeper ⛏️. When are you delivering the leads? Is it during the weekend when the business is shut? Pulling a stunt like that keeping a birthday from all of your colleagues, then throwing a fit when no one’s bought you a cake on the big day 🎂 😡.

Go deeper ⛏️. How is the client following up? Do they have a bank of sales professionals, or are they leaving everything to the receptionist? ☎️

Go deeper still. What’s your client’s idea of a good contact rate? 40%? 50%? Some of these guys are so new to the field, they expect the world 🌍. A reasonable contact rate for Facebook leads sits solidly at 10-20%. If our leads are getting more than that, then we’ve delivered and then some 😇.

And deeper again. You’re business-savvy, aren’t you? 🕴🏻 If the leads are being neglected by a busy receptionist, that’s a problem YOU can help solve. Offer your client a solution via an autoresponder email sequence, or a OnceHub appointment scheduling service.

Chances are, the client will be impressed with your initiative 😊. There’s nothing worse than being defensive and making excuses. Going deeper and asking the right questions proves to your client that you offer a tailored service and not a one-bunch-of-leads-fits-all 👍.

And a little extra work actually has a double benefit. You can charge clients for these services - a fee they’ll happily pay to get a better contact rate. PLUS, adding an email autoresponder or scheduling service can increase the quality of your leads. A user is a lot more likely to pick up the phone when they know who’s calling 😜.
