In this video, I'm responding to a video about tech-free schools that Silicon Valley parents send their kids to, along with many comments that I found on that video. While underfunded public schools struggle to have the technology their students need, expensive private schools are gaining popularity for cutting down on tech usage.

00 - intro
40 - quick shoutout to Pill Club! check out the video I created for their Speak Up series on their channel
15 - the main video I'm responding to is "Inside A Tech-Free School Where Tech Executives Send Their Kids"
04 - the school in the video is a Waldorf school, which has a holistic instructional style and very limited technology use
30 - LMK if you want me to make a whole video comparing Waldorf-style schools, VS the heavy emphasis on standardized testing in public schools
38 - are low tech schools disadvantaged?
56 - tech is on the rise... in well-funded schools
16 - the Digital Divide
23 - Silicon Valley parents, who work for major tech companies, want to limit their kids' screen time
11 - screen time stats and recommendations for kids
43 - it is a privilege to be able to limit your screen time. Many parents rely on tech to distract or entertain their kids, sometimes due to not being able to afford quality childcare
07 - wealthier parents are able to afford childcare, allowing their kids to spend more of their day away from technology. They can also afford extracurriculars, which can be too expensive for lower income families
24 - but won't these Waldorf kids be disadvantaged when it comes to college or potentially pursuing a job in tech??
28 - how does screen time affect mental health? or social skills? ps are we really growing horns in the back of our heads from using our phones too much ??
10 - I think the benefits of a Waldorf school are much more than just limiting tech usage. They have resources and experiences that most public school students could never even dream of!
