A hat-trick is very rare at football’s highest level. Only the finest players can find a way past the opposition goalkeeper three times in the same match! Football vocabulary is pretty strange, one of the sport’s expressions is pretty mysterious...Why do we call scoring three goals a “hat-trick”?
