Boris Johnson is UK's next Prime Minister- BBC News

Boris Johnson is UK's next Prime Minister- BBC News Boris Johnson is set to walk in to Number 10 Downing Street tomorrow as Britain's next Prime Minister - realising a long-held ambition. He has won the race to become Conservative Party leader, with more than 92 thousand votes of party members.

His rival Jeremy Hunt polled just over 46 thousand. In a short acceptance speech Mr Johnson declared that his mission was to take Britain out of the EU by the 31st of October and re-unite the country. The challenges he will face are formidable - opposition from some of his party's most senior MPs and little sign that the EU is about to change its negotiating position.

The BBC’s political editor Laura Kuenssberg, Chief Political Correspondent Vicki Young, Scotland Editor Sarah Smith and Europe Editor Katya Adler give their take on the day’s events.
