A careless mother was arrested for allegedly driving with her kids in an inflatable pool strapped to the roof. Janus Yeager, 49, was reported to police after allegedly cruising through the town of Dixon, Illinois, with two children in the pool. Yeager was driving westbound on Illinois Route 2 with the blue inflatable after telling her children to hold it down by clambering inside, police say. Officials told news channel WQAD that Yeager had apparently driven into town to inflate the pool at a friends’ house. But on the way back, she allegedly told her two young daughters to ride inside the empty pool to hold it down on the roof during the drive home. Yeager was placed under arrest for two counts of endangering the health or life of a child and two counts of reckless conduct. Yeager was also cited for failure to secure a passenger under the age of eight and under the age of 16. She was transported to the Dixon Police Department where she was processed and released after posting bond while the investigation continues. The police released an image of the car with the pool on top, but it is not known if the children were inside at that point or had already been removed by officers.
