Generally 30 Days is 'Reasonable' Time for Trust Vote: Priyank Kharge

Generally 30 Days is 'Reasonable' Time for Trust Vote: Priyank Kharge Congress MLA Priyank Kharge asks the Speaker for more time to be given for discussions, especially since the Governor himself has mentioned horse-trading in his report. He reads from the Sarkaria Commission report, from a chapter on role of Governor. "If it appears to the Governor that the government does not have a majority, he can ask the CM to prove majority within a reasonable time. How much exactly is reasonable time has also been defined – it will depend on the circumstances of each case. Generally 30 days is considered reasonable time, unless there is something urgent, like passing the budget. In special circumstances, it may even exceed this period and go up to 60 days," he says.
