EVERTON have sold Henry Onyekuru to Monaco and earned £5million profit despite the fact the Nigerian international never played for the Toffees. The 22-year-old signed for Everton from Belgian club KAS Eupen in a £7million deal in 2017. And in a surprising turn of events, the Merseysiders have managed to offload the forward for a reported £12m to the French side. The fee is officially undisclosed but Toffees' owner Farhad Moshiri will be pleased with the business nonetheless. LOAN RANGER Having arrived at Everton in 2017, Onyekuru immediately left on loan spending 2017-18 on loan with Anderlecht. He scored ten times for the Belgians before his season was cut short by a knee injury. And 18-19 was no different as another loan deal saw him turn out for Turkish champions Galatasaray last season. Onyekuru bagged 14 goals from 31 league games for the Turkish giants but that was not enough to earn him a chance on Merseyside. Despite his lack of opportunities at Goodison, Onyekuru was grateful to the club regardless. He tweeted: "I want to thank Everton for the opportunity and making it possible for me to experience the best year of my career at Galatasaray. "My time in Turkey was nothing short of amazing. "The supporters, the club and my team-mates made me feel at home from day one." He added: "Enchante Monaco. New League, New Challenge! I’m excited, let’s get started!"
