So what happens when you air-layer an ackee tree, then air-layer a mango tree, then fall asleep for six months? Today we have a video that shows you what six months of progress on two different air-layering projects looks like.

On February 14th, 2019, I performed two air layers, one on an ackee tree and the other on a mango - and filmed performing the air layers. For months, nothing happened - and then eventually, I noticed some roots in the bag I'd placed on the mango branch. I waited a couple more months, then filmed the second half of this video on August 23rd, 2019, over six months later. Air-layering mango worked better than expected - and the air-layering of ackee is also working, just slower. Enjoy.
