A beachside fashion show was put on in east China’s Shandong province on August 5, 2019, featuring the latest facekini designs, a swimming mask that covers the head and neck to protect against the sun. Zhang Shifan, reportedly the inventor of the facekini, said the new collection was inspired by China’s Belt and Road Initiative and animal welfare.
