This Is Why You Should Learn Scales

This Is Why You Should Learn Scales This entire improvisation uses nothing but the G major scale and its modes. Check out my Patreon if you want to learn more about those two things!

It only takes a little bit of experimentation to turn a simple set of 7 notes into an original idea. The line between scales and music is extremely thin! Because of this I'm a huge proponent of studying major scale theory and using it to improvise. It's 100% the key that unlocked the fingerboard for me and I use it every single time I write music.

If you want to learn how to play like this, study the major scale!

Recorded this with a Laney L5 Studio into Ableton Live 10. Check this video out if you want to know the audio effects and settings I use!

Also, I've got two albums out! Here's links if you haven't checked them out yet :) They're both on all the major stores and streaming platforms.

Cheers!
