Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Mumbai to inaugurate the first coach for Mumbai Metro built under the 'Make in India' program. Flanked by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai Metro officials, PM Modi took a tour of the new coach and the train. The coach was built by state-run engineering firm BEML. He also inaugurated three Metro lines that are expected to ease traffic in the financial and entertainment hub that sees severe public transport disruption during monsoon. He also launched several infrastructure projects worth Rs. 20,000 crore. The 'Make in India' programme is one of the flagship policy moves of PM Modi that recognises ease of doing business as the single most important factor to promote entrepreneurship. 'Make in India' has identified 25 sectors in manufacturing, infrastructure and service activities that can be boosted.

“ISRO SCIENTISTS HAVE INSPIRED ME’
PM Modi came to Mumbai after meeting with scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru. The Prime Minister had gone there to see live the landing of the Chandrayaan 2 mission on the moon. However, in a major setback for ISRO, communications between India’s moon lander Vikram and the orbiter got snapped as the former was only 2.1 km away from its designated landing spot on the moon’s South Pole. As a pall of gloom descended over the ISRO centre, the PM asked the scientists to be “courageous and not lose hope”. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the metro lines, the PM said that he has been inspired by ISRO scientists, the kind of dedication they showed, their hard work and how they worked day and night. He said the nation should learn from them.

“THERE ARE THREE KINDS OF PEOPLE”
The Prime Minister said that there are three kinds of people. One who never start even to try in the fear of failure, second set of people who run away from a problem at the sight of first hurdle and the third set are those people who start then keep at it until they achieve it. The people at ISRO are the kinds who never stop trying.

With Chandrayaan II, India’s achievements in space have been hailed globally and it signifies a nation’s rising ambition as a global power. NASA, that is National Aeronautics and Space Administration had taken to Twitter to commend the Indian Space Research Organisation's attempt to land its Chandrayaan-2 mission on the South Pole of the Moon. It said "Space is hard. We commend Isro’s attempt to land their Chandrayaan-2 mission on the Moon’s South Pole. You have inspired us with your journey and look forward to future opportunities to explore our solar system together," the US space agency tweeted.
