The True Story of J-Lo’s Box Office Hit ‘Hustlers’

In the new film “Hustlers,” Jennifer Lopez plays a stripper who masterminded a scheme to rip off wealthy Wall Street types. The character is based on the real life experiences of a woman named Samantha Barbash. Barbash wants to make it clear that while she orchestrated the scheme, she was never a stripper. She pled guilty to charges and now runs a medical spa in Queens, New York. She’s written a book about her experience, called “Underscore.”
