Video shows trans women forcibly removed from an LA bar

Video shows trans women forcibly removed from an LA bar A video posted to social media shows a group of transgender women being forcibly removed from a Los Angeles bar. The women said they had earlier been harassed by a straight couple at a downtown bar called Las Perlas. Mobile phone footage shows one security guard putting his arms around a woman as she said, 'Don’t touch me like that! I need my shoe.' The guard was then seen shoving her and wrapping his arms around her, before forcing her toward the door. The women filed a hate crime report with police, who said in a statement they would 'thoroughly investigate the incident'

In a statement on Facebook, the bar later apologized to the trans community and said it was hiring a new security company 'that has received sensitivity training' and has hired outside counsel to review the incident.
