Sai friends, there has always been curiosity about Sai Baba's religion - whether he was Hindu or Muslim. Though this question is irrelevant given the stature and spiritual status of the Saint. Many religious leaders still try to speak against Sai Baba and ask Hindus not to worship Him saying that He was a Muslim. But Baba never spoke against any religion and always encouraged people to follow their own religious practices.
