Meghalaya: UDP opposes CAB; says feedback of stakeholders must be considered

Meghalaya legislative Assembly Speaker and United Democratic Party president, Metbah Lyngdoh has reiterated the party’s opposition to the #CitizenshipAmendmentBill.
Talking to newsmen the UDP president said that the UDP has expressed and made it clear that they will oppose any bill that is against the will of the people and prior to bringing out such bill the stakeholders has to be taken into consideration in terms of any feedbacks or inputs needs to be given for the welfare of the people of the state.
Lyngdoh is however hopeful that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit the state before going ahead and tabling the bill.
