Metis veterans receive long-awaited recognition for Second World War contributions

Metis veterans who served during the Second World War were recognized in a ceremony in Ottawa on Friday. The recognition follows a recent apology and promise of compensation from the federal government for its treatment of Metis veterans after the war. (November 8, 2019.)
