“The Material vs. The Mystic” is an experimental exploration of spiritual essence in relation to everyday life. As we live our day to day lives it is easy to get sucked into the noise and forget our souls are our truest form; not our careers, our outings, or our routines. The poem said multiple times, begins to work like a mantra that keeps all of these various women in tune with themselves and their spirits. Each woman intuitively knows that this being human is simply a guest house.
