India sees growing opposition to 'anti-Muslim' citizenship law India is still in the grips of mass public protests against a citizenship law which, many believe, discriminates against Muslims.
Some demonstrations turned violent over the weekend with many injured but public support against the government seems to be growing.
However, in an order on Tuesday, India's Supreme Court said the various complaints against the government and its passing of the controversial Citizen Amendment Act should be dealt with by respective high courts in the states.
