The Los Angeles Lakers have had one of the best starts in the NBA this year thanks in large part to Anthony Davis’ efforts on both sides of the ball. Anthony Davis has proven himself to be a Defensive Player of the Year candidate thanks to his 2.7 blocks per game. However, Davis has had health concerns his entire career, and Kendrick Perkins mentioned his shoulder injury flaring back up this season. The Lakers have been without Avery Bradley for a little while now due to injury. Alex Caruso has stepped up big time for the Lakers though as he is proving himself as a spark plug for the Lakers. Caruso (AKA the bald mamba) gives a crazy amount of effort on both the defensive and offensive side of the ball. The question that many Lakers fans are asking now is whether or not Alex Caruso could make sense in the starting lineup until Avery Bradley returns to action. The Lakers could use Caruso’s ability to make an impact on the defensive side of the ball until Bradley returns.

Kyle Kuzma has been off to a rather slow start for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. He has been shooting the ball at inefficient rate and averaging rather mediocre numbers so far this year. He is just now returning from injury, but his slow start could be worth concern for the Lakers. Kuzma was expected to be the third star on this Lakers team next to Anthony Davis and LeBron James, but so far, the early results have not been good for the young offensive threat.
