Life isn’t easy for anyone, but for believers there is meaning in suffering and it provides us with a degree of peace that is not found outside the Body of Christ. We are called to pick up our cross daily, so we should be prepared to serve the Lord under difficult circumstances as we wait in the sure hope of his return and the life of the age to come. Like so many of the historical figure of the Bible, we should also expect that God will sometimes call us to do things that we don’t feel naturally inclined or suited to do.
