The story of Atlantis also perfectly fits the ancient cataclysm narrative as well as the evidence of a lost ancient civilization with incredible technological abilities.
There is a lot to explore! Was the Richat Structure near Ouadane, Mauritania Atlantis? Or is it just a coincidence that much of the land mass fits the description by Plato so well? Not to mention that it seems to fit the location put forward by Herodotus three years before Plato was born which debunks the notion that Plato made it up?
