I thought Green Water Algae Bloom wasn't harmful to fish, but when I didn't realize the algae killer i was dosing my aquarium with was killing snails over the course of months, those dead snails poisoned the water and killed some of my fish i've had for nearly a decade. I didn't know the snails were dying because I couldn't see into the tank through the green water.
