In this video you will learn the difference between coaches and trainers.
🏀Over my 25+ years of basketball I have realized their is a huge difference between coaches and trainers. Coaches may have the ability to train and trainers may have the availability to coach but they are 2 separate entities with different objectives.
🏀Yes of course the overall goal is to help players reach their FULL potential in the 3 categories discussed in other videos. ATHLETIC ACADEMICS & SOCIAL development.
🏀Coaches jobs are to manage the team and put players in the best position to maximize they’re strengths. Barely is their enough time to do player development and team practice. Player development is a specific area that need ms it’s own special attention
🏀Trainers role is to enhance players skills so that they can perform their duties that coaches want them to do. If players don’t have the skills necessary to perform the duties expected from the coaches.
