The circuit in which similar ends are connected together is called as parallel circuit. In the given circuit R1, R2 and R3 are connected in parallel.
There are many separate paths for current flow. The voltage across all parallel branches is the same. Current in each branch is different and depends on the value of resistance in the branch.
