Starframe is an Application Framework designed to help organizations manage their Data in a simple yet secure and compliant manner, and share this core data layer throughout the organization. With the goal of simplicity in mind, Data management applications are defined and run in a one single browser-based interface, without the need for programming code.
The intuitive UI and flexible data model help ensure a quick implementation, minimizing the need for ongoing IT involvement, and provides centralized management, rule-based validation and data transaction auditing.
Data integrity is safeguarded through the use of Validation Rules which can be defined in plain English. You can leverage existing Business Processes within the organization by integrating them as Web Services, or enhance existing processes by using Starframe as a Business Logic Transaction Server.
Starframe provides comprehensive role-based security so that you control who can do what at table, record and field level - including field value limits. Starframe records all data transactions so you have access to the before and after images of each change in the original user interface.
Starframe also provides an option of creating Data management applications using a standard JSON script. This can be useful for automating the migration of existing tables that are currently managed in error-prone manual processes.
Data management applications are dynamically generated using Google's AngularJS framework. Data tables can be created or imported into Starframe's NoSQL implementation or managed in standard databases such as Oracle, SQLServer, DB2 or MySQL.
