Ingredients:
2lbs beef (bone-in or boneless)
4 cups basmati rice (rinsed, soaked in water for 30 mins)
3 diced onions
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 Shan Punjabi Yakhni Pilau spice mix
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
3 cinnamon sticks
4 bay leaves
3 black cardamom
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder

Method:
1. Wash meat and add to Instant pot
2. Add ginger garlic, Shan spice mix and stir well
3. Add water to cover the meat, about 6 cups
4. Close instant pot lid, put valve in ‘Sealing’ position and set on Manual pressure for 15 minutes
5. After 10-12 minutes of NPR (naturally releasing the pressure), turn valve to ‘Venting’ for the remaining pressure to be released
6. Open lid and drain out the meat from the both, keep both
7. Heat up 1/4 cup cooking oil in instant pot on ‘Sautee’ mode. Add onions and fry for 5-minutes
8. Add meat to the fried onions along with your remaining herbs and spices and stir fry for 5-10 minutes
9. Slowly add back 5 cups of broth (make sure to measure)
10. Add rinsed rice to the mixed and give it a quick stir
11. Close instant pot lid, put valve in ‘Sealing’ position and set on Manual pressure for 6 minutes
12. After 10-12 minutes of NPR (naturally releasing the pressure), turn valve to ‘Venting’ for the remaining pressure to be released
13. Open lid, mix once and serve hot
