What are the best lenses under the christmas tree? Turns out, just like we don't all like the same tree or decorations, we don't all like the same lenses. But, I think we would all be happy with a Porsche under the christmas tree! That Glasses Guy dives full steam into lenses and lens design. Have you ever wondered why lenses can have such a huge difference in price? Just like cars, you can buy a corolla, or you can buy a 911 GT3RS. Whether you need all the bells and whistles, or all of the performance with none of the bells and whistles, there are options for every spectrum (if you see what I did, we can be friends).
What it comes down to, is how the light rays pass through the lens, and into your eye. Every lens handles this differently, and what works great for one, may not work as well for someone elses. Why? Because science and math, that's why! I won't get into the math at play here, because I highly doubt anyone wants that deep of a dive into it. If you do, I can recommend some GREAT books!
