NARM in Relation to Other Models for Developmental Trauma

NARM in Relation to Other Models for Developmental Trauma The NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) is a therapeutic approach for addressing the long-term effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and offers a promising approach for resolving Complex Trauma (C-PTSD).

Complex Trauma emerges out of unresolved attachment, relational and developmental trauma. This leads to the disruption of neurobiological pathways that create psychological, behavioral and physical symptoms, as well as to distortions of personality development and interpersonal relationships. So many adults are suffering from the unrecognized impact of early trauma.

In this video, Dr. Laurence Heller, the Creator of NARM, and Brad Kammer, NARM Senior Faculty, discuss how NARM compares to and differentiates from other models addressing Complex Trauma, highlighting what contributions NARM can offer to the trauma-informed field.
