Parents challenged to support schools by even paying fees to inform of chicken, livestock and firewood
Leaders in Turkana County have challenged parents to motivate their children by working hard to pay for their school fees.
Turkana South MP James Lomenen and Katilu MCA James Abei said that despite most parents lacking cash, most of them are pastoralists and farmers.
Mr. Lomenen said schools should accept parents to clear fees with what they can easily produce. Parents should be allowed to pay fees to inform of livestock, firewood or chicken.
