Cultural Epistemologies, Human-Nature Relationships and Biological Cognition Douglas Medin, Northwestern University This talk concerns relationships between different ways of looking at the natural world (epistemologies) and other cognitive processes such as categorization and reasoning. The focus will be on Native American (specifically Menominee Nation and Chicago-area urban Indians) relational epistemologies and biological cognition.
